IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dear Colleagues,

The 2020 Western Regional Meeting (WRM) Committee is monitoring the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and evaluating potential impacts on the 2020 WRM. Ensuring that the WRM  is a safe and productive event for everyone is our highest priority, and we will be following all guidance from federal and local health agencies.

We understand that many participants are unable to attend due to travel restrictions and have therefore decided to postpone the 2020 WRM to a later date.

We are currently working with our host hotel & convention center to determine an optimum date to reschedule the meeting. Once we have selected a date we will notify all authors, attendees, and exhibitors. We appreciate your patience as we work through the details of the postponement. For those participants that have already registered, we will provide the opportunity to either maintain or cancel your current registration.

We encourage all attendees to adopt healthy travel habits, and to consult the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) for additional guidance.

For more information, please contact Jared Paddock, 2020 WRM Chairperson.

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to invite you to attend the 2020 SPE Western Regional Meeting (WRM), from April 27th - 30th, in Bakersfield California, the heart of California's oil industry. The 2020 WRM is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest innovations from experts and share your operational knowledge in a wide variety of petroleum and technology related fields.

The theme for the 2020 WRM is "Energy for Innovation", the Petroleum Industry is continuously innovating, not only providing the energy that powers our society, but also leveraging technology to improve our own business and environmental performance. At the 2020 WRM, we gather in that spirit of innovation to learn how we can continue to apply technology, further enhancing sustainability and competitiveness.

The meeting will have a full slate of technical presentations, opportunities for networking with colleagues and vendors, short courses, and the chance to hear from industry thought leaders during panel discussions and keynote luncheons.

I look forward to seeing you at the 2020 WRM.
Jared Paddock
